Dr Tan Ngian Chye is a general surgeon practising in Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
His subspecialty is in head and neck ablative surgery and reconstructive microsurgery. He is also trained and experienced in surgical oncology.
Dr Tan is currently a visiting consultant at the National Cancer Centre (NCCS) and Singapore General Hospital.
He was a senior consultant and education director of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Head and Neck Centre. At the same time, he was the clinical lead for head and neck oncologic reconstruction and skin malignancies. He was also co-chair of the NCCS Cancer Service Line Development (CSLD) for nasopharyngeal carcinoma and member of the CSLD for thyroid cancer and head and neck cancers.
Dr Tan served as clinical associate professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School and as programme director of the SingHealth General Surgery Residency Programme.
His research interest is in medical technology innovation and has obtained several national competitive grants to pursue his research.
